ORDINANCE NO. 980822
Authorizing
a $52,200.00 contract with Daniels Construction Co., for reconstructing
driveways, curbs and sidewalks south of 55th Street and authorizing the
Director of Public Works to expend $57,400.00 in funds appropriated herein for
the project.
BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
1. That the work of reconstructing driveways, curbs and sidewalks south of
55th Street is hereby provided for and authorized.
Section
2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract, on behalf of the City, with Daniels Construction Co., an individual,
in the amount of $52,200.00 for reconstruction of driveways, curbs and
sidewalks. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of
Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.
Section
3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of
$57,400.00 from funds herein appropriated as and for consideration in the
aforesaid contract and for incidental and related work as described above, as
follows:

Pipeline $39,200.00
99-811-080-2040-B Sewer
Repair 12,000.00
99-811-080-2301-B Catch
Basin Cleaning and Repair 6,200.00
TOTAL $57,400.00

hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit
of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a
cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the
fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation
hereby incurred.
