ORDINANCE NO. 041245

Authorizing the purchase of Tract No. 59 in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for Airport Development and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in the amount of $715,000.00, accepting a warranty deed conveying title thereto; and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to purchase from Larry H. Martin, a parcel of land generally known as Tract No. 59, in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for the expansion of the Kansas City International Airport and pay as consideration therefore the sum of $715,000.00.

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to expend the following amount heretofore appropriated to the Aviation Fund below, and deliver said sum to the sellers upon receipt of a Warranty Deed conveying to the City a good merchantable title to said land:

05 8300-627270-E KCI Apron Improvements $715,000.00

Section 3. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to accept a Warranty Deed conveying to the City the property identified in Section 1, to execute a written acceptance thereof and is directed to record the deed, acceptance and a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Platte County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
