ORDINANCE NO. 960710

 

Authorizing an agreement with the Good Samaritan Project, Inc., to provide services to persons living with HIV/AIDS for up to one year, in an amount up to $35,000.00 and authorizing the Director of Health to amend the contract.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That an agreement between the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the Good Samaritan Project, Inc., acting through its Executive Director, to provide services to persons living with HIV/AIDS for up to one year, effective May 1, 1996 through April 30, 1997, for an amount up to $35,000.00 from funds previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 960338 in Account No. 97-100-050-2420-B, is hereby provided for and authorized. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health has authority to amend the contract without Council approval. The dollar value of a contract amendment cannot exceed $20,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
