COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 920595
Authorizing the Director of City Development Department
to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Economic Development Corporation
of Kansas City, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority, the Tax
Increment Financing Commission and the Port Authority in the amount of one
million five hundred sixty thousand seven hundred fifty dollars ($1,560,750.00)
for the purpose of providing funds for certain development and redevelopment
services.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of City Development is
hereby authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City with the
Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, the Land Clearance for
Redevelopment Authority, the Tax Increment Financing Commission and the Port
Authority a copy of which agreement in substantial form is attached hereto, in
the amount of one million five hundred sixty thousand seven hundred fifty
dollars ($1,560,750.00) for the purpose of providing funds for certain
development and redevelopment services from funds heretofore appropriated to
Account Nos.:
100-064-2000B Economic Development Corporation
$1,260,750.00 261-064-2000B Economic Development Corporation 300,000.00
Section 2. That the Director of City Development is
hereby authorized to expend the sum of $1,560,750.00 from funds heretofore
appropriated to Account Nos. 100-064-2000B and 261-064-2000B for payment to the
Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City for work to be performed under
the aforesaid agreement.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed
to file a copy of this cooperative agreement in the Department of Records for
Jackson County, Missouri, and the Secretary of State in accordance with State
law.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
