COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 060888

 

Authorizing a $75,000.00 amendment to an agreement with Mason Tillman Associates, Limited for a second generation disparity study, approved by Ordinance No. 050443, in order to conduct an assessment of the minority workers' participation in the City's construction industry.

 

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 050443, as amended, which authorized the Director of Human Relations to execute an agreement with Mason Tillman Associates, Limited for a second generation disparity study, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the agreement by adding an additional $75,000.00 for an assessment of the minority workers' participation in the City's construction industry, and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment to the agreement; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY;

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, an amendment to the agreement with Mason Tillman Associates, Limited for a second generation disparity study, approved by Ordinance No. 050443, in order to conduct an assessment of the minority workers' participation in the City's construction industry, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to 07-7070-871000-B. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is on file in the Human Relations Office.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
