ORDINANCE NO. 990537

 

Authorizing a one year $440,422.00 agreement with the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust (MAST) to provide the Kansas City International Airport with a dedicated ambulance and services and appropriating $440,422.00 for this purpose.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust (MAST), acting through its Executive Director, whereby MAST agrees to provide the Kansas City International Airport with a dedicated ambulance and services for a one year period from May 1, 1999 through April 30, 2000, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the sum of $440,422.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund and the KCI Airport Safety Fund in the following accounts:

 

00-100-051-2141-B MAST - KCI Ambulance Service $131,362.00

00-821-062-2310-B KCI - Safety 309,060.00

TOTAL $440,422.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
