ORDINANCE NO. 020611

Authorizing the purchase of property in the area of the Birmingham Wastewater Treatment Plant; authorizing acceptance of the deed to said property; and authorizing expenditure of funds in the amount of $200,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to purchase property in the area of the Birmingham Wastewater Treatment Plant in Kansas City, Clay County, for the Birmingham Wastewater Treatment Plant site expansion. The legal description of the property to be purchased is legally described as follows:

The North of the Northwest of Section 24, Township 50, Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, EXCEPT that part in street and roads.

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is further authorized to exercise the Option to Purchase, accept the deed and expend up to the sum of $200,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 03-811-080-7726-T Sewer Construction for the purchase of the above-referenced property.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
