Rezoning an area of approximately
3.3 acres generally located on the east side of Washington Street from 18th
Street north a distance of about 225 feet, on both sides of Washington Street
between 18th Street and 20th Street, from District R-4 to District R-1b, and
from District M-1 to Districts R-1b, R-2b, R-4 and C-1. (13721-P)
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to
be known as Section 80-11A0734, rezoning an area of approximately 3.3 acres
generally located on the east side of Washington Street from 18th Street north
a distance of about 225 feet, on both sides of Washington Street between 18th
Street and 20th Street, from District R-4 (Low Apartments) to District R-1b
(One-Family Dwellings), and from District M-1 (Light Industry) to Districts R-1b
(One-Family Dwellings), R-2b (Two- Family Dwellings), R-4 (Low Apartments) and
C-1 (Neighborhood Retail Business), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0734. That an area
legally described as:

Merriam Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri (1818

is hereby rezoned from District
R-4 (Low Apartments) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), and

1805 Washington Lots 1 and 2 and the north 25 feet of Lot 3, Block 8, Merriam Place
is hereby rezoned from District
M-1 (Light Industry) to District C-1 (neighborhood retail business)
All in Section 7,
Township 49 North, Range 33 West, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri
all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0734,
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as
a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter
and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.
Section B. That
the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed
amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning
Ordinance have been given and had.
