ORDINANCE NO. 920295

 

Authorizing a contract in the amount of $267,335.00 with Barnes & Dodge, Inc. for HVAC modifications at the Municipal Service Center, 5300 Municipal Avenue.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of providing vehicle exhaust systems and HVAC system modifications for the Municipal Service Center, 5300 Municipal Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract therefor between Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Public Works, and Barnes & Dodge, Inc., in the amount of $267,335.00, which contract is hereby approved and confirmed. A copy of the said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $300,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to the following accounts as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract and contingencies related thereto:

 

001-40952T Municipal Service Center Ventilation $280,000.00 001-40717T Fixed Plant Improvements $ 20,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
