ORDINANCE NO. 150469

 

Authorizing the Director of the Water Services Department to enter into an option agreement with KCRT, L.L.C., in an amount not to exceed $1,100,000.00 and to execute ancillary documents all related to the real property acquisition of 1720 Wabash Avenue.

 

WHEREAS, KCRT, LLC., owns certain real property located at 1720 Wabash Avenue, which is located near property owned by the City that houses certain essential operations of the Water Services Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the City would benefit from acquiring this property; NOW, THEREFORE,

  

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council finds that acquisition of the real property located at 1720 Wabash Avenue would be beneficial to the City and to the operations of its Water Services Department.

Section 2. That the Director of the Water Services is hereby authorized to execute, and thereafter exercise, an option agreement with KCRT, L.L.C., in an amount not to exceed $1,100,000.00 to be expended from Account No. AL-8186-807710-E-631980-81000747, Service Facility Improvement. A copy of the option agreement, approved in substantial form, is that attached hereto.

 

Section 3. That the Director of the Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute any ancillary documents needed to effectuate the transaction noted herein.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
