ORDINANCE NO. 090862

Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a $1,249,894.00 contract with Larrison Construction, Inc. for renovations and site improvements at the Swope Ridge Geriatric Center; and authorizing the Director of General Services to amend the contract without council approval and expend $1,562,367.00 for the contract.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the work of constructing second floor renovations and miscellaneous site improvements at the Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, 5900 Swope Parkway, Kansas City , Missouri, is hereby provided for and authorized.

Section 2. That the Director of General Services is hereby authorized to execute Contract No. EV00000809 for Project No. 141-090001 with Larrison Construction, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $1,249,894.00 for second floor renovations and miscellaneous site improvements at the Swope Ridge Geriatric Center. The contract is on file in the Office of the Director of General Services and is incorporated herein by reference.

Section 3. That the Director of General Services is hereby to amend the contract without Council approval and is authorized to expend the sum of $1,562,367.00 from funds appropriated to Account No. AL-3330-078025-B-07F59S41 for the contract and related contingencies.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
