ORDINANCE NO. 180336

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a five-year and three-month lease agreement with two five-year options for renewal with M.W. Burnes Enterprises LTD., for property located at 1520 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri; authorizing the Director of General Services to provide funding for tenant finish improvements in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the General Services Department is authorized to execute a five-year and three-month lease agreement with two five-year options for renewal with M.W. Burnes Enterprises LTD., for property located at 1520 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. A copy of the lease agreement is on file in the General Services Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of the General Services Department is hereby authorized to expend a sum not to exceed $200,000.00 for tenant improvements from funds previously appropriated to the following account:

 

AL-3436-648043-B-64017101 18th and Vine Phase 1 $200,000.00

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
