ORDINANCE NO. 920300

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute a Deed of Release for a Deed of Trust held by the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, Broadway Supply Company (later known as Broadway Industries, Inc.) petitioned the City to improve Summit Street from 103rd Street south to I-435 by special assessment; and

WHEREAS, the special assessments were guaranteed by a Second Deed of Trust; and

WHEREAS, said special taxes having been paid in full, Broadway Industries, Inc., has requested that the City release said Deed of Trust; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Deed of Release held by the City of Kansas City, Missouri, to secure payment of special taxes for certain public improvements. A copy of such Deed of Release is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of the Deed of Release to be recorded in the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.
