ORDINANCE NO. 931323

Appropriating $16,900.00 to study health care needs of the elderly, establishing a revenue account and designating the Director of Health as the requisitioning authority and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the following revenue account is hereby established in the General Fund in the following amount:

100-050-8308 Contribution from Speas Memorial $16,900.00 Trust Elder Care

Section 2. That the sum of $16,900.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund Account No. 100-3390, to the following account in the General Fund:

100-050-2350B Elder Care Project $ 9,100.00 100-050-2350C Elder Care Project 1,300.00 100-050-2350E Elder Care Project 6,500.00 TOTAL $16,900.00

Section 3. That the Director of Health is hereby designated as the requisitioning authority for Account No. 100-050-2350.

Section 4. That this ordinance, making provision for the expenditure of funds in connection with the preservation of the public health, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
