ORDINANCE NO. 970985

 

Authorizing the Director of Environmental Management to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Jackson County, Missouri, whereby the City will provide hazardous waste services for Jackson County facilities; directing the City Clerk to record the Agreement; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Jackson County, Missouri, whereby the City will provide hazardous waste collection of conditionally exempt small quantity generator waste from Jackson County facilities for one year with provisions for renewal of the Agreement. Such services shall be provided to the County at a rate equal to the City's actual costs of collection and disposal. A copy of the Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the Office of the Secretary of State for the State of Missouri and in the Office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri at Kansas City as required by Section 70.300 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri for such agreements.
