ORDINANCE NO. 110035
Authorizing acceptance of a
$2,500,000.00 EDI-Special Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development to provide funding for the construction of the
New Northeast Community Center site improvements located at 9th & Van Brunt;
estimating revenue in the amount of $2,500,000.00 in the EDI Fund; increasing
appropriations in the amount of $2,500,000.00 in EDI Fund; and designating
requisitioning authority.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of Parks and Recreation Department is herby authorized to accept an
EDI-Special Project Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) in the amount of $2,500,000.00 to provide funding for the
construction of the New Northeast Community Center site improvements located at
9th & Van Brunt. A copy of the Grant Agreement No.
B-10-SP-MO-0230 is on file in the office of the Director of Parks and
Recreation and is incorporated by reference.
Section 2. That
revenue in the following account of the EDI-HUD Grant Fund is hereby estimated
by the following amount:
11-2500-700001-479350
Northeast Community Center EDI $2,500,000.00
Section 3. That an appropriation in the following account
of the EDI-HUD Grant Fund is hereby increased
by the following amount:
11-2500-708023-B
Northeast Community Center EDI $2,500,000.00
Section 4. That the Director of Parks and Recreation is
designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 11-2500-708023.
I hereby certify that there is a
balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which
the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise
unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is
to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
