ORDINANCE NO. 961229

Authorizing an eight month $21,500.00 agreement with the Good Samaritan Project to provide Ryan White Title I mental health counseling services and authorizing the Director of Health to amend the contract by up to $20,000.00 without Council approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an agreement between the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the Good Samaritan Project, acting through their officers of executory authority, to provide Ryan White Title I mental health counseling services for the period April 4, 1996 to December 19, 1996 in an amount not to exceed $21,500.00 and from funds previously approved in Ordinance No. 960869 in Account No. 96-273-050-2442-B, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Health is authorized to amend the agreement without Council approval. Contract amendments cannot exceed $20,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
