ORDINANCE NO. 130666

 

Authorizing Amendment 3 to the Affinis Corp. contract for design professional services for Relief Well System Rehabilitation at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport; authorizing expenditure of $302,500.00 for the contract; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $275,000.00 with Affinis Corp. for design professional services for Project No. 62080331 – Relief Well System Rehabilitation for a total contract amount of $611,162.00. A copy of the amendment is on file in the Aviation Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to amend this contract and to increase the amount not to exceed $27,500.00 for contingency purposes.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Aviation is authorized to expend the sum of $302,500.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 14-8300-627270-B.

 

Section 4. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
