ORDINANCE NO. 960116

 

Approving an amendment to a contract previously approved by Ordinance No. 951583 that decreases State funding of the ASSIST Project by $22,550.00; decreasing a revenue account and appropriation account by $20,500.00.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. Accepting and approving an amendment to the current contract, previously approved by Ordinance No. 951583, between the City, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the State will decrease funding for the Department's Kansas City ASSIST Project (American Stop Smoking Intervention Study) in the amount of $22,550.00, from $273,659.00 to $251,109.00. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the following revenue account in the General Fund is hereby decreased by the following amount:

 

96-100-050-7367 96 ASSIST Project $20,500.00

 

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby decreased by the following amount:

 

96-100-050-2380-B ASSIST Project $20,500.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
