RESOLUTION NO. 900518
Reaffirming the intent of the Council that a Land Use
Study be prepared for the I-435 Corridor Area generally bounded by the
corporate boundaries on the east and north, Pleasant Valley on the south and N.
Brighton on the west to N.E. 92nd Street then N. Indiana to N.E. 100th Street
then N. Mersington, to be known as the Shoal Creek Valley Area and directing
the City Manager to identify resources for the development of such Land Use
Study.

WHEREAS, on March 30, 1989, the Council adopted
Resolution No. 63884 which directed the preparation of a Land Use Study for the
Shoal Creek Valley Area and directed the pursuit of discussions with the City
of Liberty and County of Clay for participation in such Study; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
prepare such a Study to identify the appropriate use for the development within
the corridor and contiguous areas; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Council hereby reaffirms its intent that a
Land Use Study be prepared for the I-435 Corridor Area generally bounded by the
corporate boundaries on the east and north, Pleasant Valley on the south and N.
Brighton on the west to N.E. 92nd Street then N. Indiana to N.E. 100th Street
then N. Mersington, to be known as the Shoal Creek Valley Area, as generally
shown on the map attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is
hereby directed to continue to explore discussions with the City of Liberty and
the County of Clay for participation in the funding of the development of the
Study and to identify other resources for the development thereof.
