ORDINANCE NO. 040357

Authorizing a $450,001.00 First Amendment to Agreement No. 020121 with HNTB Corporation relating to engineering services for rehabilitation of Suburban Junction Bridge over Kansas City Southern Railroad; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $450,001.00 for the project; and appropriating $1,125.00 to the Youth Employment Fund.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, a $450,001.00 First Amendment to Agreement No. 020121 with HNTB Corporation, essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, relating to engineering services in connection with the rehabilitation of Suburban Junction Bridge over Kansas City Southern Railroad, in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District 1, Project No. 5473, to be completed in four phases:.

Phase I: Engineering Study

Phase II: Preliminary Engineering Design

Phase III: Final Design

Phase IV: Limited Construction Observation

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $450,001.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 04-100-089-7702-T for the aforesaid First Amendment to Agreement No. 020121.

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

04-100-089-7702-T Minor Bridge Rehabilitation $1,125.00

Section 4. That the sum of $1,125.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

04-100-012-9089-B Transfer to Youth Employment Fund $1,125.00

Section 5. That the revenue in the following account of the Youth Employment Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

04-244-012-9200 Transfer from General Fund $1,125.00

Section 6. That the sum of $1,125.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Youth Employment Fund to the following account in the Youth Employment Fund:

04-244-089-7004-T Quarter Percent for Youth Employment Fund $1,125.00

Section 7. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $1,125.00 from the General Fund to the Youth Employment Fund.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
