COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 000414
Authorizing acceptance of
the Brownsfield Economic Development Initiative Grant in the amount of
$1,250,000.00 for the Beacon Hill Development Project and execution of
documents; estimating revenue in the sum of $1,250,000.00 in the Capital
Improvements Fund; appropriating it to the Beacon Hill Development - BEDI
account of the Capital Improvements Fund; designating requisitioning authority;
and providing for the effective date.
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the City Manager, on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby
authorized to accept the Brownsfield Economic Development Initiative Grant
(BEDI), B-98-BD-20-0043, in the amount of $1,250,000.00, for the Beacon Hill
Development Project and to execute the BEDI Grant Agreement with the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and all other necessary
documents in order to implement the Grant.
Section 2. That
the revenue in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby
estimated in the following amount:
01-309-055-7645 Beacon Hill
Development - BEDI Grant $1,250,000.00
Section 3. That
the sum of $1,250,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund
Balance of the Capital Improvements Grant Fund to the following account in the
Capital Improvements Fund:
01-309-055-7315-T Beacon Hill
Development - BEDI $1,250,000.00
Section 4. That
the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby
designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 01-309-055-7315.
Section 5. That
this ordinance shall be effective ten (10) days after passage or on May 1,
2000, whichever last occurs.
I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
as to form and legality:
