ORDINANCE NO. 920296

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend an additional sum of $30,000.00 to Clay County Sanitary and Ditching Services, Inc.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 911212, passed October 17, 1991, the City Council authorized Contract No. 910426, with Clay County Sanitary and Ditching Services, Inc., in the amount of $64,168.10 with an authorized expenditure of $81,000.00; and

WHEREAS, during the course of the work certain latent conditions which have resulted in additional engineering and construction have come to light; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the additional sum of $30,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 9-40515T, as and for contingencies on Contract No. 910426 to complete the additional construction approved by Ordinance No. 911212, passed October 17, 1991.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
