Honoring
Inez Kaiser on being the recipient of the 1997 National Minority Advocate
Award.
WHEREAS,
Inez Kaiser, President, Inez Kaiser & Associates, received the 1997
National Minority Advocate award on November 22, during the 15th Annual
National Minority Enterprise Development Week Conference in Washington, D.C.;
and
WHEREAS,
Inez Kaiser & Associates, founded in 1957, is world-renowned as the oldest
African-American, female owned public relations firm in the United States; and
WHEREAS,
Inez Kaisers public relations firm has earned a reputation that even few
majority firms achieve. She was, and remains, well respected for her ability
to lobby passionately for what she believes is right. A talented writer and
orator, Inez Kaiser continues to leave her mark on the fabric of our society;
and
WHEREAS,
Inez Kaiser is a meticulous and elegant individual that pays close attention to
detail and style. This same attention is given to her work and is reflected in
all that she endeavors to assume responsibility for, including her weekly
column for the Kansas City Call that offers insight and wisdom to struggling
professionals aspiring to enter the industry; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE
IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That
the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Inez Kaiser their most heartfelt
congratulations on receiving the 1997 National Minority Advocate Award and
thanks for her leadership, advocacy and service to the community; and
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the
Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Inez
Kaiser with the best wishes of the Mayor, Council and citizens of Kansas City.
