COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 970595

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0061, rezoning an area generally bounded by Swope Parkway on the west, Elmwood Avenue on the east, 60th Street on the north and 63rd Street on the south from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings).

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0061, rezoning an area generally bounded by Swope Parkway on the west, Elmwood Avenue on the east, 60th Street on the north and 63rd Street on the south from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0061. That an area legally described as:

 

All of Lots 39-46 and all of Lots 50-57, Mountain View, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 6-8, Flacy's Subdivision, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 1-22, Edwin E. Arnold's Addition, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 1-32, Flacy's Swope Park Subdivision, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 1-48, Swope Park Summit, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 1-36, Swope Park View, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 9-32, Flacy's Swope Park Subdivision, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; all of Lots 1-22, Swope Park Manor No. 2, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and including a tract of land more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 3, Edwin E. Arnold's Addition, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; thence easterly along the south line of Lots 3-5, of said subdivision to the southeast corner of Lot 5 and west line of Lot 6 of said subdivision; thence southerly along the west line of Lot 6, of said subdivision to the southwest corner of said Lot 6, thence easterly along the south line of Lots 6-22 to the southeast corner of Lot 22, of said subdivision and northwest corner of Lot 8, Flacy's Swope Park Subdivision, a subdivision of land lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; thence southerly and along the west line of Lot 8, of said subdivision to the north line of 61st Street, thence westerly along said north line to the east line of Swope Parkway, thence northerly along east line of Swope Parkway to the point of beginning.

 


is hereby rezoned from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0061, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
