ORDINANCE NO. 070186

Authorizing execution of a Rental Car Permit Agreement with the Hertz Corporation at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute a Rental Car Permit Agreement with the Hertz Corporation for the right to provide and/or conduct rental car services to the traveling public at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport for one year term beginning on November 1, 2006 and ending no later that October 31, 2007, with four additional one-year term options at the Directors sole determination. A copy of the agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

Section 2. That additional revenue in the sum of $5,000.00 is hereby estimated in the following account of the KCI Airports Fund, No. 8300:

07-8300-620000-648630 Rental Car Percentage Fees $5,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
