ORDINANCE NO. 930481, AS AMENDED
Authorizing the Director of Health to enter into an
agreement with Heritage Remediation/Engineering, Inc. for the analysis, removal
and disposal of materials located in the facility at 8100 Ozark Road;
authorizing the expenditure of up to $81,000.00 therefore; appropriating a like
sum for that purpose; and recognizing an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Health is hereby
authorized to enter into an agreement with Heritage Remediation/Engineering,
Inc. for the analysis, removal and disposal of materials located in the
facility at 8100 Ozark Road for which the City will pay an amount not to exceed
$81,000.00. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference.
Section 2. That a new account, No. 100-050-2215
Hazmat Storage Site Analysis, is hereby created with the Director of Health as
the disbursing authority therefor, and $81,000.00 is hereby appropriated from
the Contingent Appropriation Account No. 100-017-9990 to that account.
Section 3. That this ordinance, making
provisions for the appropriation and expenditure of funds in connection with
the preservation of the public health, is recognized as an emergency measure
within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of the City of
Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure, is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
