ORDINANCE NO. 990089

Authorizing acceptance of a $166,417.00 Minority Business Opportunity Committee Grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency; estimating revenue in the amount of $166,417.00 in the General Fund; appropriating it to the MBOC Program account of the General Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby authorized to accept the Minority Business Opportunity Committee (MBOC) Grant, Award No. 98-20-99006-01, in the amount of $166,417.00, from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency and to execute all necessary documents to implement the MBOC Program.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

99-100-055-7707 99 - MBOC Grant $166,417.00

Section 3. That the sum of $166,417.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

99-100-055-2061-A MBOC Program $ 43,834.00

99-100-055-2061-B MBOC Program 112,583.00

99-100-055-2061-E MBOC Program 10,000.00

TOTAL $166,417.00

Section 4. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 99-100-055-2061.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
