RESOLUTION NO. 061138

 

Amending the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, by changing the land use designation from District GP-6 to Districts GP- 5, GP-6, GP-4 and GP-3 for an approximately 293 acre tract of land generally bounded by N.W. Tiffany Springs Road on the north, N. Congress Avenue on the east, M-152 on the south and N. Amity Avenue on the west. (247-S-101)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, is hereby amended by changing the land use designation from District GP-6 (Low Density Residential) to Districts GP- 5 (Medium Density Residential), GP-6 (Low Density Residential), GP-4 (High Density Residential) and GP-3 (Regional Business) for an approximately 296 acre tract of land generally bounded by NW Tiffany Springs Road on the north, N Congress Avenue on the east, M-152 on the south and N Amity Avenue on the west, and more specifically described as follows:

 

All that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 1 and all that part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 2, all in Township 51 North, Range 34 West of the Principal Meridian, Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, being described as follows: Beginning at the Intersection of the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 1 with the South right-of-way line of Northwest Tiffany Springs Road, as now established, said point being South 01019 West, 50.00 feet from the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 1; thence South 895002 East, along said South right-of-way line, 2195.46 feet; thence South 874111 East, along said South right-of-way line, 160.11 feet; thence South 895002 East, along said South right-of-way line, 250.84 feet; thence South 444632 East, along said South right-of-way line, 76.48 feet to a point on the West right-of-way line of North Congress Avenue, as now established; thence South 01655 West, along the said West right-of-way line, 301.23 feet; thence Southerly, along said West right-of-way line, on a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of South 003908 East, a radius of 1269.34 feet, a central angle of 081957, an arc distance of 184.60 feet; thence South along said West right-of-way line, on a curve to the right, having a common tangent with the last described course, having a radius of 1133.36 feet, a central angle of 081312, an arc distance of 162.60 feet; thence South 892717 East (Deed-S 892724 E), along the North line of said Southeast Quarter, 2481.40 feet; thence South 03243 West, 30.00 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of said Northwest Tiffany Springs Road; thence South 824529 East, along said South right-of-way line, 171.50 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 292.60 acres, more or less.

 

all as shown outlined on a map marked General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the aforesaid plan.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been held.
