Authorizing execution of certain contracts for housing development assistance and rehabilitation support services with the following community development corporations in the following amounts: East Meyer Community Association - $225,000.00; Neighborhood Housing Services of Kansas City, Inc. - $125,000.00; Westside Housing Organization, Inc. - $175,000.00; Kansas City Neighborhood Alliance - $125,000.00; Northland Neighborhoods, Inc. - $172,500.00; Midtown Community Development Corporation - $225,000.00; Old Northeast, Inc. - $225,000.00; Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation - $200,000.00; and Palestine Neighborhood Development Corporation - $100,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the East Meyer Community Association, in the amount of $225,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2200-B, East Meyer. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Neighborhood Housing Services of Kansas City, Inc., in the amount of $125,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2150-B, Neighborhood Housing Services. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 3. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Westside Housing Organization, Inc., in the amount of $175,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2230-B, Westside Housing Organization. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 4. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Kansas City Neighborhood Alliance, in the amount of $125,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for support services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2220-B, Neighborhood Alliance. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 5. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., in the amount of $172,500.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2214-B, CDC Northland. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 6. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Midtown Community Development Corporation, d/b/a Community Builders, in the amount of $225,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2215-B, Midtown Community Development Corporation. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 7. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Old Northeast, Inc., in the amount of $225,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for rehabilitation support services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2210-B, Old Northeast, Inc. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 8. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation, in the amount of $200,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for housing development assistance services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2240-B, 12th Street Heritage. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 9. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Palestine Neighborhood Development Corporation, in the amount of $100,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for the Palestine Neighborhood Improvement Program to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-261-055-2243-B, Palestine Neighborhood. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
