ORDINANCE NO. 940603

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $195,000.00 in previously appropriated funds for a flood damage reduction feasibility study of the Turkey Creek Basin in the Southwest Boulevard area.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 63673, passed February 16, 1989, the Council authorized an agreement with the United States of America, through its Corps of Engineers for a flood damage reduction feasibility study of the Turkey Creek Basin in the Southwest Boulevard area with an authorized expenditure of $70,000.00.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 921065, passed October 1, 1992, the Council authorized an amendment to the previous agreement with an authorized expenditure of $150,000.00, NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $195,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 95-309-089-7203T as and for the City's fiscal year 94/95 share of the cost of the aforesaid feasibility study.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
