ORDINANCE NO. 971014

 

Authorizing the Director of Environmental Management to enter into an agreement with the Global Action Plan, Inc., in the amount of $51,500.00 to assist the City with developing and implementing a Sustainable Lifestyle Campaign as part of a grant project with the Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District (MARC), and authorizing the expenditure of previously appropriated funds therefor.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to enter into a one-year agreement, on behalf of the City, with Global Action Plan, Inc., in the amount of $51,500.00 for the purpose of developing and implementing a Sustainable Lifestyle Campaign. The agreement shall substantially conform to the copy which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to expend for this agreement $51,500.00 in previously appropriated funds from Account No. 98-100-085-1450-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
