Rezoning an area of approximately 112.57 acres generally located at the northeast corner of Martha Truman Road and Prospect Avenue from District RA to District R-1a. (13269-P-1)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0684, rezoning an area of approximately 112.57 acres generally located at the northeast corner of Martha Truman Road and Prospect Avenue from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0684. That an area legally described as:

 

A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 47, Range 33, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: beginning at the Northwest corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence N 8852'47" E along the North line of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 2638.52 feet to the Northeast corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence S 0038'41" E along the East line of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 1323.77 feet to a point on the South line of the North half of said Northwest Quarter; Thence S 8857'17" W along said south line a distance of 1319.37 feet to a point on the East line of the West half of said Northwest Quarter; thence S 0038'22" E along said East line a distance of 642.13 feet; thence S 8901'48" W parallel with the South line of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 430.00 feet; thence S 0038'22" E parallel with the East line of the West half of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 640.01 feet to a point on the North right-of-way line of Martha Truman road as described in Book 3340 at page 385; thence S 8901'48" W along said North right-of-way line a distance of 889.47 feet to a point on the West line of said Northwest Quarter; thence N 0038'02" W along the West line of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 2600.73 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 4,903,578 square feet or 112.570 acres more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0684, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.


Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
