Authorizing a one year $93,619.00 contract with Operation Breakthrough, Inc., to provide child care services to the homeless.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services Department is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Operation Breakthrough, Inc., for the period beginning May 1, 2002 through April 30, 2003, for an amount not to exceed $93,619.00, to provide child care services to the homeless to be paid from funds appropriated in Account No. 03-100-057-2035-B. The contract is approved, in substantial form, and is on file with the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
