RESOLUTION NO. 070538
Honoring Jim Giles and extending
to him the appreciation, gratitude and respect for his work on behalf of Mayor
Barnes and the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
WHEREAS, Jim
Giles began an internship in Mayor Barnes Office in January 2007, during the
final semester of his graduate work at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Jim is finishing work on a Master of Public Administration in Urban
Administration at the Bloch School of Business and Public Administration; and
WHEREAS, prior
to his work in the Mayors Office, Jim worked for many years in the
not-for-profit world, including positions with the National Kidney Foundation
and the Jackson County Historical Society; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor
and Council do hereby honor Jim Giles and extend to him their appreciation,
gratitude and respect for his work on behalf of Mayor Barnes and the City of
Kansas City, Missouri; and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in
testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Jim Giles with
appropriate recognition and appreciation.
