ORDINANCE NO. 900503

 

Authorizing a contract in the amount of $411,650.00 with Black and Veatch for engineering services in connection with improvements of N.W. 68th Street from U.S. 169 Highway to AA Highway.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of the City an agreement with Black and Veatch for engineering services in connection with improvements on N.W. 68th Street from U.S. 169 Highway to AA Highway in four phases:

 

Phase A: Preliminary Engineering Design, Parts I and II Phase B: Final Design, Part I (U.S. 169 to approximately 4050 feet west)

Phase C: Construction Observation Phase D: Construction Observation

 

in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District No. 1, Project No. 1220. The said agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $411,650.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 681-40851-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
