RESOLUTION NO. 150181

 

Honoring Porter Arneill as a Rich Noll Pacesetter for March, 2015.

 

WHEREAS, the Rich Noll Pacesetter Award has been established to honor City employees who provide excellent service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

WHEREAS, the Rich Noll Pacesetter Award is named after Rich Noll, who worked for the City of Kansas City in a variety of capacities over his 26 year career and always exemplified the best attributes of City government in those capacities including customer service, responsiveness, timeliness and teamwork; and

 

WHEREAS, Porter Arneill is  the Director/Public Art Administrator for the Municipal Art Commission, part of the Architecture Division in the General Services Department; and

 

WHEREAS, Porter served as the primary staff liaison and coordinator for the Mayor’s Task Force for the Arts and, over the course of 30 months, he assisted with all aspects therein; and 

 

WHEREAS, Porter’s dedication to the cause and his excellent work coordinating the efforts of the Task Force exemplifies his commitment to the participants and citizens involved with over 35 community meetings; and 

 

WHEREAS, Porter was the go-to person for the Task Force and his communication with a range of individuals and groups, in total some 3600 people, was invaluable to the success of the Task Force; and 

 

WHEREAS, in addition to Porter’s work with the Task Force, he continued overseeing the work of the Municipal Art Commission, the City’s arts programs and the City’s nationally recognized One Percent for Art Program; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize Porter Arneill as a Rich Noll Pacesetter for the month of March, 2015; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Porter Arneill with the thanks of the Mayor and Council for his dedication and service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri.
