ORDINANCE NO. 040799

 

Accepting and approving a one year $2,470,182.00 agreement with Childrens Mercy Hospital to provide medical care for the Citys indigent.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and Childrens Mercy Hospital, a Missouri not-for-profit corporation, whereby Childrens Mercy will provide medical care for the Citys indigent for the period of May 1, 2004 through April 30, 2005, for which the City will pay $2,470,182.00 from funds provided in the 2004-2005 Budget, Ordinance No. 040255, to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 05-2330-512120-F, Childrens Mercy Hospital, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
