ORDINANCE NO. 030505

 

Approving the sale of property at three vacant lots at 918, 922 and 926 30th Street and authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefor; estimating revenue in the amount of $30,000.00 in the General Fund; and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 011377 adopted October 4, 2001, declared certain property owned by the City in excess to the Citys needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

 

WHEREAS, the City, under a competitive bid process, on April 1, 2003, received a bid from The Longfellow/Dutch Hill Community Association, a nonprofit Missouri Corporation, which offered $30,000.00 for the property, NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Longfellow/Dutch Hill Community Association, a nonprofit Missouri corporation, for the property in the amount of $30,000.00 for the property located at: 918, 922 and 926 30th Street and approves the sale of the property to them and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying the property. The legal description of the property is described as:

 

TRACT I : The east 50 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Creston, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

TRACT II: The west 55 feet of the east 105 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Creston, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

TRACT III: The west 55 feet of the east 160 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Creston, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

Subject to restrictions, reservations, easements, covenants and special assessments, if any of record.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

04-100-064-8500 Sale of City Real Estate $30,000.00

 

Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, at Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
