ORDINANCE NO. 021399
Authorizing the execution
of a Second Amended Cooperative Agreement with the Planned Industrial Expansion
Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, whereby the City will provide $54,628.00 in
additional funding for additional environmental insurance and other related
project costs for the Central Industrial District redevelopment project;
reestimating revenue in the amount of $21,000.00 in the Capital Improvements
Fund; and appropriating it to the West Bottoms Environmental Remediation
account of the Capital Improvements Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to enter into a second
amendment to the current Cooperative Agreement with the Planned Industrial
Expansion Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, previously approved pursuant to
Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 991500 and amended by Committee
Substitute for Ordinance No. 001632, whereby the City will provide additional
funding of $54,628.00 for additional environmental insurance and other related
project costs for the redevelopment project being undertaken in the Central
Industrial District from funds previously appropriated to Account No.
03-309-055-7206-T, Dept. of Commerce Brownsfield Grant - West Bottoms
($13,897.00) and from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No.
03-309-064-7025-T, West Bottoms Environmental Remediation ($40,731.00).
Section 2. That
revenue in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby
reestimated in the following additional amount:
03-309-064-8071 Contribution
- West Bottoms Environmental Remediation $21,000.00
Section 3. That
the sum of $21,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund
Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account in the
Capital Improvements Fund:
03-309-064-7025-T West
Bottoms Environmental Remediation $21,000.00

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
incurred.
