ORDINANCE NO. 970028

Authorizing a cooperative agreement with the Housing Development Corporation and Information Center for development, property acquisition and relocation services for the 12th Street Heritage Development project in the amount of $40,000.00; reducing and reappropriating funds from the Capital Improvements Fund; granting requisitioning authority; and directing the City Clerk to file said agreement with the appropriate offices.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

97-309-089-7329 12th Street Heritage $418,500.00

Section 2. That the sum of $418,500.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

97-309-064-6312 12th Street Heritage Area $418,500.00

Section 3. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Housing Development Corporation and Information Center to provide for the development of housing in the 12th Street Heritage area in the amount of $40,000.00 to be paid from funds herein appropriated to Account No. 97-309-064-6312, 12th Street Heritage Area. A copy of said agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 4. That the Director of City Development is hereby granted requisitioning authority for Account No. 97-100-055-7329 in the amount of $114,000.00.

Section 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record copies of the agreement, together with a copy of this ordinance, in the office of the Secretary of State and in the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
