ORDINANCE NO. 990682

Authorizing an extension of time to complete the work on Contract No. 7048 Special Assessment Water Main Construction in the area of N.E. Flintlock Road from M-152 north one mile.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 971280 on September 15, 1997, approving Contract No. 7048 for construction of special assessment water mains in the area of N.E. Flintlock Road from M-152 north one mile; and

WHEREAS, additional time is required for completion of the work due to weather delays and state requirements regarding the casing under M-152; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to extend substantial completion of the work from November 30, 1997 to January 7, 1998 and final completion date from December 15, 1997 to January 22, 1998. Said extension of time will be included in the contract by change order, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services.
