RESOLUTION NO. 050359

 

Recognizing and congratulating the Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers on their winning season.

 

WHEREAS, the Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers finished the year with a 26-5 overall record making history with their first ever appearance at State and also being the first time ever in school history; and

 

WHEREAS, the Lincoln Academy Varsity Girls Basketball Season 2004-2005 School Year included being the Interscholastic League Champs, District Champs, Sectional Champs, Quarter Final Champs, Final Four State took 2nd Place, ranked 1st in Small Class 4A and ranked 2nd in State of Missouri-Class 4A; and

 

WHEREAS, the Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers is coached by Jeff Atkins with Pam Bankhead, David Strong and Raishaun Pierson as assistant coaches; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2004-2005 Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers team members are as follows: Jesyka Burks Wiley, Tiffany Coppage, April Johnson, LaToya Johnson, Dominque King, Cherice McClain, Halima Ramsey, Ashlee Savwoir, Tanisha Smith, Tekoyia Trice, and Kourtney Waldrup; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize and congratulate the Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers on their winning season; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that copies hereof be presented to the Lincoln Academy Lady Tigers in token of the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for their many hours of practice and their excellent behavior on the court.
