ORDINANCE NO. 140852

 

Authorizing a contract for approximately $5,173,000.00 with Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc. for the replacement of water mains in the area of McGee Street to Chestnut Avenue and E. 65th Street to E. 89th Street.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, Contract No. 8928, Project No. 80001745, with Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc., in the amount of $5,172,575.00 for the replacement of water mains in the area of McGee Street to Chestnut Avenue and E. 65th Street to E. 89th Street, located in Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri.  A copy of this contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $5,600,000.00 from Account No. AL-8074-807705-B-611060-80001745, Wtr Main Replacement Program, to satisfy the costs of this project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
