ORDINANCE NO. 970758

 

Authorizing exercise of the City's option to renew for Fiscal Year 1997-98, Contract No. 970283 for City Hall elevator maintenance and repair services with Otis Elevator Company; and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in an amount not to exceed $125,508.24.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of providing elevator maintenance and repair services for the City Hall building, 414 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute Kansas City's option to extend Contract No. 970283 with Otis Elevator Company for the period May 1, 1997 through April 30, 1998, in an amount not to exceed $125,508.24 at the rate of $10,459.02 per month.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum not to exceed $125,508.24 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 98-100-089-7727-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
