ORDINANCE NO. 971015

 

Authorizing a $398,575.00 demolition contract with Deco Wrecking Co., Inc., for the demolition of a dangerous building located at 10 East 40th Street.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, with Deco Wrecking Co., Inc., in an amount not to exceed $398,575.00 for the demolition of dangerous building located at 10 East 40th Street. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $414,600.00 from funds previously appropriated in the following accounts as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract and for contingencies associated therewith:

 

98-309-057-6401-T Building Demolition CD4 $334,600.00 98-100-089-6407-T LUT 98 CD4 50,000.00 98-100-057-2340-B Dangerous Building Demolition 30,000.00 TOTAL $414,600.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 98-100-089-6407-T.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
