RESOLUTION NO. 900861
Designating Monday, December 31, 1990,
as World Celebration Day in Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, the people of Kansas City will be joining
millions of people worldwide at Noon Greenwich Mean Time to ask for the healing
of the Global Community; and
WHEREAS, we have planted the Heart Forest as a
symbol of our willingness to be global in the way we see, love, understand, and
merge with the world; and
WHEREAS, we have organized the Heart Peace Institute
to empower small groups of thoughtful committee citizens to change the world;
and
WHEREAS, we are hosting the first Peace Expo 2000 to
evidence the work within our area to prepare for the next millennium; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby designate Monday,
December 31, 1990, as World Celebration Day in Kansas City, Missouri, and all
people are urged to observe a moment of silence at Noon Greenwich Mean Time
(6:00 a.m. Central Standard Time), asking for the healing of the Earth.
