RESOLUTION NO. 010167

 

Honoring Kathleen Steele for seven years of outstanding public health service as the Regional Director of Health and Human Services.

 

WHEREAS, Kathleen Steele has provided seven years of outstanding public health service as Regional Director of Health and Human Services; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Steeles public service was filled with many accomplishments which have improved the lives of some of the most vulnerable people living in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska; and

 

WHEREAS, Kathleen Steeles work in the area of childrens health has been particularly noteworthy; and

 

WHEREAS, Kathleen Steeles legacy is her role in the development and implementation of State Childrens Health Insurance Programs in the Region VII States that is a model of what can be achieved when the Federal and State governments and the public and private sectors work together toward a goal; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby congratulate Kathleen Steele for her seven years of outstanding public health service as Regional Director of Health and Human Services; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Kathleen Steele in token of the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for a job well done and their best wishes as she embarks on new challenges.
