RESOLUTION NO. 971677

 

Authorizing the Director and Deputy Director of Water Services Department to act as the City's designated authority representatives for participation by the Water Services Department in the Drinking Water SRF and Wastewater SRF Loan Programs in accordance with federal and state requirements.

 

WHEREAS, the Water Services Department is currently participating in the Wastewater SRF Loan Program for construction of capital improvements projects; and

 

WHEREAS, the Water Services Department has made preliminary submissions for application to participate in the Drinking Water SRF Loan Program currently being heard before the Missouri Legislature; and

 

WHEREAS, state and federal requirements for both programs require that representatives be authorized by the City Council to administer the programs, including making of application, conducting public hearings and preparation of monthly reimbursements; NOW THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Director and Deputy Director of the Water Services Department be and are hereby authorized to accept the terms and conditions of the Drinking Water and Wastewater SRF Loan Programs and to officially execute on behalf of the City the necessary documentation to administer these programs.
