COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 001223

Renaming the 682 fund to the Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) Fund; estimating and appropriating NID special assessment collections in the amount of $1,972,742.00 from the Valencia Place Project; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the 682 fund is hereby renamed to the Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) Fund in the records of the City.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the NID Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

01-682-012-8400 Collections from Assessments $1,972,742.00

Section 3. That the sum of $1,972,742.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the NID Fund to the following account in the NID Fund:

01-682-012-9080-B Payment of Special Assessment Collections $1,972,742.00

Section 4. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the terms of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of Kansas City and shall take effect in accordance with said section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
